AACS Track Athletes PR at Jefferson Invite
The AACS Varsity Track Team competed in the Jefferson Invitational this past weekend, taking home several honors. James Chou (sophomore) took home 4th place, as well as a medal, while competing in the High Jump. James jumped 5'6" on the day, setting a new PR. Jared Craven (sophomore) competed in the 800 m dash, finishing with a time of 2:18.59 (only .23 seconds slower than his PR), which was good enough for 6th place in the meet and another medal. Brody Jeruzal, while not medaling, set a PR in the 1600 m run, finishing with a time of 5:22.With this being the first year of AACS varsity track, AACS is setting official records as well for future athletes to chase. AACS will compete in the Erie Mason Invitational on Saturday, May 3.

Eagles Conclude Season by Defeating Ivywood
On Thursday, 2/13 the AACS JV boys basketball team ended their season with a win against Ivywood Classical Academy. The final score was 40-19. Highlights from the game include 13 points from sophomore Caleb Brink. The Eagles had an overall winning record of 11-4. Shout out to head coach Nolan Wolffis and his team for a great season! Eagles Defeat Steiner in Homecoming Game
In an amazing way to celebrate the homecoming game, the AACS JV boys basketball team beat Rudolf Steiner with a score of 52-36. AACS, who trailed by as many as 9 points early in the game, and led by 2 points to start the 4th quarter, used an offensive explosion from three point land to extend the lead and cruise to the win. Leading the team in scoring were sophomores Caleb Brink, with 16 points and 3 three pointers, and Joey Spasovski, with 14 points, and Ryle Mong with 11. Leading the team in rebounds was eighth grader Hatcher Higgins with 7. The Eagles, now 10-3, will rematch against WCA at home on Tuesday, 2/11 at 6:30pm. Isabella Higgins

On Tuesday 1/21, Eagles JV boys basketball beat Rudolph Steiner's varsity team in a nail-biter by a score of 36-34. The Eagles started off slow in the first quarter, not scoring any points. By the start of the second, they found themselves down 10-0. The Eagles battled back, however, and by the second half the lead was changing back and forth between the Storm and the Eagles. In the end, AACS ended up with the hard fought, 2 point victory.
