Over the weekend, the AACS High School JV Girls Volleyball team competed in the WCA Invitational, finishing with a 2-2 overall record, and a 2nd place finish overall.

The Eagles started Pool Play by losing to Jackson Area Home Educators (JAHE) in 2 sets, by scores of 25-17, and 25-22. After a quick turnaround, the Eagles then topped WCA in 2 sets by scores of 25-10 and 25-12.

Moving on to bracket play, the Eagles faced off with the HEA Firebirds. The Eagles won the first set 25-16, lost the second by a score of 25-19, and then winning the final set by a score of 15-8.

The win propelled the Eagles into a championship rematch with JAHE. AACS fought back from a big deficit to win the first set 27-25. The second and third sets did not go the Eagles way as they dropped the sets by scores of 25-17, and 15-9 respectively.

The Eagles will Host WCA on Thursday, 9/28 at 6:30 pm.
