The AACS JV Volleyball team made some noise at their first games of the season, and they're just getting started.

The Eagles' JV volleyball team faced off against three larger schools at the Pinckney quad on Thursday night (8/30), kicking off the official start to their season. 

The Eagles started out against Leslie High School (Class C), losing the first set 25-15. The Eagles took the second set by a score of 25-18, but lost the third set in a heart breaker by a score of 15-13. 

The Eagles then faced off against Linden High School (Class A) in a hard fought match that saw the Lady Eagles claim a victory. After losing the first set 25-17, the Eagles came back and won the next two sets by scores of 25-20 and 17-15, respectively. Lydia Sit recorded an amazing 8 kills during the game. 

For the final game of the night, the Eagles faced off against the host school, Pinckney (Class B). After losing the first set in a close 26-24, they lost the second set 25-14. 

In order to participate in the MHSAA District Tournament, the Eagles will need to play 4 varsity level contests. The Eagles will play their first of those contests on Tuesday, 9/3 as they travel to and face off against the Whitmore Lake Varsity team in a best of 5 match. The game is scheduled for 7pm.
