The AACS JV Volleyball won the silver bracket at the HEA tournament on Saturday, 9/28. After losing their first game, they came back and won their next two matches for a medal.

The Eagles first faced off against the Kalamazoo Cougars, losing with set scores of 25-20 and 25-18. 

AACS then played the Huron Valley, sweeping the Yellow Jackets in two sets with scores of 25-17 and 25-20, respectively. Highlights from the match include 5 aces from Elise Belsley and 6 kills from Lydia Sit. 

The win put the Eagles in the championship match for the silver bracket, facing off against the CHAP Chariots. The Eagles started out strong, winning the first set 25-20, but then stumbled, losing a close second set by a score of 25-23. AACS then came back and won the third set 15-8 for the medal. Highlights from the match include 6 kills from Anna Lemmerhirt. 

The Eagles, now 8-10, will travel to Lincoln High School on Friday 10/4 for the Splitter Invitational.
